I graduated from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment, RGU in Aberdeen in 2016 with a B.Sc (Distinction) in Architecture and completed my Masters in 2019. I was brought up in Dalgety Bay, Fife, attending a local primary school and then Stewart's Melville College, Edinburgh for secondary school.  I have always had an interest in art, product design, model making and architecture.

Throughout my six years of degree study, I was consistently one of the top students in my year, nominated to present at the school's "Big Crit " event at the end of every year to renowned Architects and Critics.  Each year I was chosen to present my studio projects to visiting critics / professionals such as: Professor Alan Dunlop (Alan Dunlop Architects), architectural editor, writer and critic, Catherine Slessor (Architectural Review), Professor Neil Gillespie (Reiach and Hall), Harbinder Singh Birdi (Hawkins/Brown), Ben Addy (Moxon Architects), Colin Harris (Sutherland Hussey Harris) , Rab Bennetts (Bennetts Associates) and Mary Arnold-Forster (Mary Arnold-Forster Architects).

At the end of every academic year I have featured in the SSS Yearbook for my individual project work.  In third year I was fortunate enough to be nominated to present for the Rob Hunter Prize and received commendation and runner up for the Aberdeen Medal for Civic Architecture 2016.  In 2019, my M.Arch work was shortlisted (final 4) for the RIAS Silver Medal for Best Scottish Student, Nominated for the A&DS Urban Design Award, Nominated for the AJ Student Prize, won an RGU Purchase Prize and Longlisted for ArchiGraphicsArts6 Drawing Award,

In my forth academic year, I spent my time working at Glenn Howells Architects (GHA) in London as part of my part 1 Architectural Assistant industry placement.  During my time at GHA I enhanced my understanding about the process of developing architecture and how a project is realistically delivered and developed from concept stage.  I spent the majority of my year working on The Belvedere project, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Away from Architecture, I enjoy wood working and model making, playing drums and guitar.  I have played as a snare drummer in the World Pipe Band Championships and performed in places such as the Usher Hall, Edinburgh. .  I also spend my free time drawing and undertaking product and graphic design projects with the  occasional spoon carving thrown in.  I currently play for a band called Vulpine, performing original alt-rock music and can be found on Spotify if you fancy a listen.
